The illustrations capture that prairie feeling so well — my son keeps asking me to read it again just to look at the thunderstorm page. It’s become our bedtime favorite, and the sturdy pages have survived plenty of toddler handling.

My daughter carries this everywhere since it arrived—the wildflower picking details on the cover remind me of my own grandma's stories, and she's already asked me to read the whole thing twice in one evening. The drawing theme in the description matches her perfectly.

The thunderstorms rolling across the prairie are captured so vividly, I can almost hear the rain. My daughter’s been tracing the wildflower bouquets over and over, and the page quality holds up to all her scribbling.
